Recruitment

We offer a personalised recruitment service to practices who are looking to recruit a new Practice Manager or other key team member. Our approach is competency-based, working with you to help you secure the applicant that is right for your practice. We know that there is no “one size fits all” solution to recruitment in general practice, because no two practices are exactly alike. Not only do we supply guidance and expertise in developing competencies, the job description and the person specification, we also take on all the leg work of advertising, liaising with applicants and setting up interviews – all for a lot less than you would think! Conflict Resolution

Conflict can occur in even the best teams. Sometimes it gets out of hand and a personal dispute can end up having a detrimental effect on other team members. It can sometimes be difficult for the Practice Manager to intervene because his/her closeness to the situation can be construed as taking sides. Syder and Young Ltd provides an independent conciliation service to help resolve conflict between team members and get the team working together effectively again. The costs are minimal (often charged at just an hourly rate) but the effects can help to transform the morale of your team. Locum Practice Management / Project Management

If a practice is facing the short-term loss of a manager (e.g. maternity leave or a gap between retirement of a manger and the appointment of a replacement), Syder and Young Ltd offers locum practice management services. Usually this will involve an experienced practice manager working with the practice for a couple of days a week for whatever period is deemed necessary by the partners.
