Successful organisational strategies are dependent on the effectiveness of teams and individuals. Strategic decisions, however innovative and appropriate, rely for their success on the commitment of all team members to the development plan and on their ability to deliver quality services. Organisations are only as good as the enthusiasm and competencies held by people working within them. This masterclass will look at translating business strategies into successful outcomes via team and individual objective setting and managing performance. Practice Managers work with individuals with very different needs and abilities. As leaders managers need to address these with a variety of tactics to ensure quality and prosperity for their surgeries.
AMSPAR Diploma in Primary Care Management
The DPCM consists of 36 workshop days over a 2-year period. The AMSPAR Diploma in Primary Care Management is a Level 5 qualification within the National Qualifications Framework offered through City and Guilds and jointly awarded by AMSPAR. The course is made up of 6 modules. To gain the Diploma, participants are required to achieve a pass in five nationally set assignments and complete a work-based Business Project (terms of reference to be written by the candidate and approved by City and Guilds).
Induction Workshop for New Reception Staff
This popular one-day workshop is aimed at recently appointed reception and administrative staff who have not previously worked in general practice. The workshop will provide delegates with a brief introduction to some of the key elements of the role of the GP Receptionist.
