The Level 3 Award is a qualification programme awarded by ILM - part of the City & Guilds Group. It is an ideal first step towards management for those general practice staff who may be in a supervisory position and wish to expand their knowledge of management skills and techniques.
The programme is therefore ideal for current or aspiring Deputy or Assistant Practice Managers, Reception Supervisors, Office Managers, etc. The programme consists of the following 2 units covered through 3 one-day workshops:
Understanding how to motivate to improve performance
Understanding the communication process in the workplace
ILM Level 3 Award in Leadership and Management
A first level qualification programme leading to an ILM Level 3 Award.
Day 1: Tuesday 19th September 2023
Day 2: Tuesday 10th October 2023
Day 3: Tuesday 19th December 2023
(all 9.30am to 4.00pm)
Venue: Harbour Medical Practice, Eastbourne
Content includes:
Basic theories of motivation and their application to teams and individuals
Techniques to motivate individuals and monitor performance
Positive approaches to offset negative attitudes in the workplace
Ways to ensure effective communication within the workplace
How to assess and develop own communication skills through feedback and reflection
The programme is assessed via a written work based assignment for each unit which draws upon knowledge gained throughthe course and applies it to the workplace. There is no formal exam.
Cost: £495 plus VAT per person
(includes workshop attendance, tutorials, course materials, assessment, internal and external verification. Does not include ILM registration fees which are currently £94 per person - VAT exempt)
